Myself and Will Bradshaw were recently asked to help out on the new episode of the Dark Ditties series, made from the fine folks behind the Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II,You’re So Cool, Brewster! The Story of Fright Night as well as many other exciting projects!
Popping up north to meet the team who were already on their 3rd day of shooting, we were made to feel really welcome by everyone who came to have a chat with us and it was a pleasure to work alongside them. We were also asked to head up a small second unit to help get some shots needed for the edit while the main team worked on other scenes. This allowed us to work with the wonderful Simon Bamford (I never in my life thought I’d ever get to work with anyone from Hellraiser, never mind direct them!), and we had some wonderful moments wherein his character is running through the woods coupled with both a handcuffed briefcase and immaculate wig!
As well as this, we also helped grab some special fx insert shots, which were fantastic to do, again working with some wonderful fine folks, as well as Simon’s wig again (it’ll all make sense when you see it!).
Thanks again to everyone for making me and Will really welcome. Was a pleasure and look forward to episode 4!
Amazing few weeks chatting with the ever wonderful and supportive Sophia French at Walsall Council, who is not only a brilliant help with the locations and planning for You Are My Sunshine, but is also an unseen hero for helping us on both Sustain and House of Screaming Death too – honestly, without this lady, we couldn’t do half the stuff and use most of the places we get for these projects.
She is quite simply stunning and I’m always just so overwhelmed to get the council’s backing and help for these projects and beyond!
Thank you Sophia for your continued kindness and faith in us!
PS – She makes for a cracking writer too! Her work is great!
Lots of filming in a secret location today for inclusion within Paul Downey’s upcoming Documentary – For The Love of The Boogeyman – can you spot Michael Myers anywhere here?
The idea we had was to allow the documentary to be split into segments, with each part discussing a certain topic about the original film. However, to also give the documentary even more scope was to film some inserts, like a mini film, that continues throughout the film, allowing us to seperate the segments even more and have some extra fun in the process. Starring Chris Johnson and Evan Tapper, we hope you agree come October, that these were worth the extra few days filming.
As well as this comes the new artwork from the amazing Paul Stier who also produced the first poster. I absolutely love this!
